THE
DJ RAW

About

Ryan Williams, also known as DJ RAW, has been in
music most of his life. He fell in love with music as
an early age. From beatboxing, singing in multiple
choirs, playing the saxophone and bass drum in
school, playing drums for his church to DJing.
In his sophomore year in high school, Ryan started
selling mixtapes. The following year, he became the
manager of the high school basketball team. He
started noticing at other schools music was being
played during warm ups, halftime and timeouts.
Ryan asked Coach Nally if he could start playing
music like the other schools.
He agreed. Ryan noticed the music lifted the spirits of
the fans, cheerleaders and especially the players.
He later started working family events, house parties and
eventually conferences, weddings and festivals that
reached 10,000 to 200,000 festival goers.
Ryan joined The Confess Project as a Member of the
Arkansas State Council in 2019 and soon became the
Official DJ for TCP in 2020. He understands the
significance and power of music and how vital it is to
positive mental health. Studies have shown that music
can help with things like depression, dementia and
other things. Ryan is using music to defeat the negative
stigmas of Mental Health in the Black Community.
Music is his love language and ministry to the those
who desire or need to hear it.
